Soul Tree started in 2011 as a result of President/CEO, Marni Barron’s work as a classroom teacher and instructional coach in D.C. Public Schools during the height of the shifts that came with national education reform initiatives. It was then that Barron identified a core need for individuals to feel emotionally safe to take academic and professional risks. This unique macro/ “balcony view” perspective of comprehensive legislative reform led Barron to develop a toolkit of best practices. This toolkit has become the foundation of the Soul Tree brand. It is an evidence/research-based deliberate set of strategies that is applied to each and every project Soul Tree engages in. Our ability to blend best educational/training practices with best of breed technologies has allowed Soul Tree to grow from an education specific to a full service general consulting firm.
